These photographs are an extension of my earth & sky series. They represent a new way of looking at landscape and our place in it. As our population explodes and our society grows our natural surrounds are evolving and changing moment by moment. These image represent that change and the inherent tension between the beauty of nature and the structures of humankind.

No matter where you go there they are…

Throughout my exploration painting with my camera using double exposure and landscape, I have found it harder and harder to find landscape that does not contain people. Originally these images where abstractions of landscape to create these forms of color and textures that create a visceral calming feeling. Over the years I realized that no matter where you go people will be there and you have to find that inner peace within yourself. These images represent that inner peace within the chaos that can surround us.
