Isolation

These images I started while the world closed down and we were removed from all of our interpersonal interactions. I was still able to get out in the morning, walk around and collect bits of our natural world. Then using my scanner and the ample time I found I had, I built little worlds, little spaces, little moments in time that pulled me away from my severe feelings of depression and isolation. My emotions felt flat and dead, however nature around me continued to thrive and even as these plants dried up they still had life. As the series has evolved over a couple years I feel you can see the ebb and flow of the influence of this pandemic. Never far from nature but removed from humanity and learning how to live in a new world.
